Honorable Mention Color Drenched Steve Williams In your world of outrageous, crayons are wands: transfusion sticks that connect with drawn life. I walk the corridor of your light, stroke green blood coursing under painted skin, inside steel pulp – caress wax finish, swirl prism refraction. Come Beloved, show me seep of vivacious cheer, how chlorophyll evaporates from chapped leaves. My splayed fingers contact fiber, grain, slick sheen of metal – color comes off on my hands. Hues cross, tints mix, smears meld, lives converge on toned flesh as I raise contoured palms sunwards, immersed in this christening.
